I don't know how many of you are aware of the "Internet Archive Wayback Machine", but I recently discovered it and it stores archived data of sites from as far as the mid 90s. In short, you can see what the site and forums looked like when I first bought this domain name and even some during the Tripod days! Anyway, here's the link:
http://web.archive.org
Search for either http://www.rreactor.com or http://members.tripod.com/VincentV
Ah the memories; this thing even has the music that I used to put on the site! I wish you could see what it looked like back in 1999. 'Twas a different time back in those days. :D

WOW! what a memory!
Whoa, I haven't updated for weeks and weeks! Sorry about that, I was busy with school and SSX. No new pages will be available until June. That's when I finally get to make my dream PC that will set some new standards. I have added two new affiliates today (it doesn't stop).
SSX.. haha wow

Oh, jeez. midis... it seemed like a cool idea at the time to put those all over websites (at least the one you picked was pretty good).
Ah. memories. It's too bad there's not much archived, but what they have is pretty cool.

I still have most of the old stuff on my hard drive. I might post them up during the site's 7th anniversary this June.

Really? that's cool! By any chance, do you happen to have any files of my old art? More specifically... there was a drawing of a demon character with black wings (named Koryu, I think). The original was stolen, and the scan was deleted (bad luck, I know). So I thought it might be worth asking...

I'll be sure to let you know if I run into anything.

Alright, thank you, if it helps... it was probably back in 2003, although I can't really say for sure... sorry I can't be more specific. XD If you happen to come across it, I'd be greatful but don't waste your time otherwise.

Wow that's awesome,
and a bit depressing.
This site has been through hell and back several times lol

Even though we've lost a lot of people with all of this shuffling about, it's good to have a history you can really talk about. :D

It's nice for me to see what the site was like back then.

I'm preparing a more complete archive for the anniversary, so you'll definitely get to see more than what the Wayback Machine showed you. It's just a shame that I can't remember the password to my Tripod account, which is where most of the ancient stuff is kept and it's an even bigger shame that Tripod's password recovery system is as outdated as it was 6 years ago.

June 25.
didn't know this site is that old
never knew the old site so I don't miss it
after seven years I would thought this site would be more successful

Can't say we took any drastic measures to increase popularity, but I like a smaller community a tad better anyway. It's always nice to have more people, but I can't see how anyone can manage 1000+ users that are online half of the time. Just the bandwidth cost alone would drive me crazy.

I think the site's awesome the way it is not being popular. And those more popular sites usually offer something of higher quality for it's users. But with popularity brings more people, more people brings more people that either don't shut up or just want to be online and be a bastard (that and bandwidth cost).

that's why I'm still here

I think the main reason the site isn't that popular is because of the what we cover; it's too ambitious in a sense. If I had kept the site about Final Fantasy and focused all of my efforts on one series then this would definitely be buzzing with people. Then again, I don't think I could live with myself only dedicating myself to one series, especially one that's on a slight downward trend like Final Fantasy.
Dragon Warrior and Harvest Moon are not very popular

True, but when they search for a Dragon Warrior or Harvest Moon site, this is the last site that shows up. I think the only way people find out about this place is by word of mouth or through links from other sites. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it doesn't beat a search engine.
that's an advantage to keeping this place from getting crowded
you don't have any ads so getting more people wouldn't matter

That's true, but I like to see the place alive. I'm glad that it's getting this much activity considering it was lifeless a little over a month ago.

I hated this place being like an arid wasteland. I felt like I was the only person posting in the "What are you listening to right now" thread in the Music forum.
