What games should be made into movies?

Personally I think Splinter Cell, Ninja Gaiden, and Prince of Persia would make some pretty good movies. What other game would make a good movie?

Depends. If they have to rely on the game to sell tickets, then none, seeing as how those movies would be sunstandard.

I'd like to see a movie about the Shui Hu Zhuan, otherwise known as the Water Margin or Suikoden in the gaming world.

I'm pretty sure there's already a bunch from Chinese filmmakers, but I'd like to see a Western take on it. I imagine it'd be a lot like Braveheart.

Man those Zelda CD-i games really sucked; I can't help but point and laugh at em every chance I get.

I've never had a chance to see them and I'm glad I didn't since I know that it sucked. All that is really needed for this movie is somehow getting good actors or making Zelda an anime movie and getting good voice overs for it.

They made Star Ocean EX a year or so after the game came out and it was popular for a little while, but they canceled it after people lost interest. There's also word of making a Radiata Stories anime, which makes a little more sense.

Zelda, I believe had an American made cartoon, I can remember seeing it way back when.

Half-Life (part 2 to be specific) has the perfect setting, but Hollywood would obviously fuck it up just like they do with every other videogame to movie project (lol Mario).

There was a tv series in the 80s, a rather horrible one. It really dosn't deserve anyone's time of day, but if you must know... I believe it was called the Super Mario Bros. Super Show ...or something along that line.

It's an awful movie, but it is worth seeing because it is one of those "so bad it is funny" movies. It has so little to do with Mario, they basically just borrowed names.

Mario and Luigi are too "normal."
Bowser is human with a lizard tongue.
Only two Koopa Kids appear (Iggy and Larry, I think). They are human punks.
Yoshi is a friendly raptor.
No Peach. But Daisy is in.
Goombas are big monsters in trenchcoats.

Hmm, I don't know. I've loved his work as well, but how it will turn out is a mystery. I mean a lot of video games that were made into movies weren't that good. I hope Halo is going to be an exception.

Bungie is really serious about it, and they've said that "Good Enough Sucks" so hopefully the movie will have the same mentallity.
