I didn't notice this topic anywhere, and I don't see an appropriate forum for this (movies, music, computers... or something), but how hot does this movie look...?
Unofficial Site (http://www.adventchildren.net/) / New Official Site (http://www.square-enix.co.jp/dvd/ff7ac/)
Release date is coming soon... I don't think it's coming to theaters just because of what happened with the first FF movie, but that's cool. I, for one, am definitely going to pre-order it.
The graphics are so sexy...

I saw a really long trailer on G4 and I have to admit, it looked awesome. I'm hoping they'll retain the original Japanese voice acting, since it just fits it so well. I was going to get it for the PSP, but why not go for the DVD version and just rip it? :p

I'm intending to get it for the PSP. If I have the money, that is.

I'm Getting it on DVD, so asto be able to watch it on my 6.1 surround, and 1080i HDTV I'm about to recieve \m/(-_-)\m/
I'll get it on DVD, because I don't have the money for a PSP. I'd also rather be watching and seeing how it ends before I give up on the game.

Anyone here seen this movie yet? I just saw it tonight, with the help of fansubs. It was really intense and the fight scenes aren't as plentiful like you might imagine. Some of the characters could have used more screen time as well. And a word to the wise; if you haven't played the game, you're going to be very confused. I haven't played FF7 in the longest time so even I had some trouble grasping the plot.

Perhaps you need to download some program such as Divx to see the video, it's worth a try, anyway...

I'm not going to try to download it. It will probably destroy my computer from the inside.

I think the U.S. version was delayed... again.

I've heard rumors of it being delayed again, too (appearently it's for the english dub). I don't think it's been officially confirmed yet, but it's probably true...
The new release date is said to be mid January... I seriously hope it isn't.

I don't see why they could possibly have delays with the dub; there's barely any dialogue in the movie!

probably lack of voice actors or a lazy audio company..
At this rate I don't think it will ever be translated into a dub version...

It will have to get translated into a dub version sooner or later. With my experience of waiting for something I want that hasn't been released...it will be released here sometime in April. If I'm right, I'll hate it, because I really hate it when I'm right.

I think they have to edit the mouth movement to match the dub, plus there's rumors of a limited theatrical release. (In my opinion I wish they'd screw the dub and release it now)
I guess the delay is offical from what I heard, Square-Enix did announce it but didn't give a new release date.

I've seen the non-dub edition and it's so damn sweet! I can't wait for the dub edition.
delay for five months

Lost a lot of steam if you ask me; all interested parties have probably already seen the Japanese subbed edition.

I'm still going to buy it... (I want to watch it on my brother's giant tv). I've heard mixed reviews on the dub, I think I'll just stick with the subtitles. I just hope that Square doesn't anounce some hi-def version after I buy the dvd...

Hmm...if I can get my parents to buy it for me, then I'll have it soon.

Is there a sub edition, though? I don't particularly like dubs, since a lot of things get lame voices [maybe it's just the stuff I've watched in the past].
At any rate, I'm considering just getting one of those bigger memory cards and just downloa... err, "acquireing it legally" over the internet.

It better have an official subbed version; I mean even Kung Fu Hustle had one.

At any rate, I'm considering just getting one of those bigger memory cards and just downloa... err, "acquireing it legally" over the internet. No worries, it's on there, I watched it last night. I'd recommend just buying the dvd over an expensive memory card, it's $15 at most stores, the quality is better than any version of the film I've seen online and it has a fair share of extras. However, I would have prefered a more literal translation than the approach they made...

Yes, we know...I said that we all know already.
And Silver, "aquire the movie legally". I just like that line. I can't really do it since I'm using *sigh* dial-up.
