Small Money Trick
Once you reach Tarant go to Madam Lil', don't pay for the girl and she'll give u a quest as payment for a "short time". Complete the quest and talk to her again and ask for a girl but don't pay. She'll ask u to collect from a costumer, a door man. SAVE YOUR GAME. Find the man, talk to him, tell him that you're collecting the money. Whatever u do don't agree that you'll be back in 5 days WITHOUT taking the 200 coins OK. Take the 200 FOR NOW and you'll get the 200 in 5 days. BUT talk to him again in the same way (OVER AND OVER, until you have the money that u want). It's just 200 but, it's big help for now. :)
"Good" Alignment Trick
Ok when you want to change your alignment sensor to "good" instead of evil, all you got to do is be willing to give the beggars in the streets money- (e.g. the beggar in Tarant will ask you for 10 coins- so you say sure here you go, then you back off, start a conversation with him again, and give him another 10 coins when he asks for it). Every time you give him 10 coins, your "good alignment" goes up a point- comes in handy for those characters that won't join you unless you're good and for giving yourself that important "reaction" from people.
Shrouded Hills will make you rich
When you start make sure you have a 10 or higher in dexterity. Then put your first two (three if your dexterity is high enough) into pick locks. This should be easy with all the monsters at the crash site and the first quest you get. If you want (recommended ) you can fight around a bit and put some points into dexterity . then up your Pick lock again, Object here is to get the pick pocket to the third or fourth skill level and then you can go to town and get trained in pick lock apprentice. Here's the fun part , go to any store during the day in shrouded hills (works in a lot of towns though) then just advance to evening , then advance two hours and the shopkeeps will walk to be , opening their doors to their bedrooms (with the exception of the Halfling because his bedroom and shop are one room) follow them inside and then advance time to morning. They will get up and walk out , closing the door behind them. That leaves you free to pick the chests locks , which hold basically everything the shopkeep sells, all yours for free and with no risk of being caught, if you jam the lock just advance a day and it will be back to "locked" status. You can talk what you need or take everything and sell it back to them, NOTE: If you steal their money as well you will need to advance time a couple days so they can get their money back. You can also store all your extra loot in the chest in the inn if you want. You can do this as much as you want. You also do not need to leave the store. You can just advance a day or two. Typically, the shop with the most monetary sum in the chest is the guy you take your ring to.
Easier way to get money to shrouded hills
The only cheats I see say to put 4 points into pick locks which is a big waste in the beginning all you need is one point in pick pockets and you can steal Rizzer's key to the chest at the foot of his bed, you only need one point in pick pockets because you are nearly guaranteed to succeed if you steal it while he sleeps. you then sell him something advance time tell he goes to sleep and steal it back from his chest to sell to him again and if you walk away and sleep for a day again his money will come back so you can get even more. (warning do not use his chest as storage or leave the store after selling him something you plan on stealing back because he will sell it and only a small amount of change will remain in his chest).
